The nature of my role has evolved in the last 9 years of my career - from crunching datasheets to leading big ticket strategy and transformation programsI started my career in India, working with one of the most respected business conglomerates in the country. Deputed to their erstwhile JV with Hershey's, who were setting shop in the sub-continent, I had the opportunity to engage in several aspects of the business ground-up : from selling confectionary in rural India to managing the supply chain for a very seasonal product category. My formal education in Production and Industrial Engineering came handy (almost)I then had the good fortune of being part of the MBA programme at IIM Kozhikode, one of the top 5 business schools in the country, and also based in my pristine home state of Kerala in South India. Pricing Strategy, Social Transformation and the amazing local cuisine, all contributing to an all-round(ing) development of business acumen, mind and body. Post my MBA – I took the consulting road – spending six years across the US, Taiwan and Japan, before moving to Sydney. I've ended up living in over 20 cities, and spent more than 250 days a year out of a suitcase (3 times), something I'm no longer proud of - but it gave me the opportunity to work with some great leaders at the largest of companies, and some very smart individuals in the many global teams I have been a part of. I would go on to realise that "Collective Experience" and "Programme Management" are almost as important as "Technical Proficiency", when it comes to solving both the biggest and tiniest of problems.I’m improving my (imaginary) cover drive with every game (I watch) and could definitely win more badminton rallies.
