As the president of the City of Pearland’s non-profit economic development corporation, I oversee an $11M annual budget and drive high-impact projects supporting economic development for one of the fastest growing cities in the United States. Results include business recruitment of a global biotech company ($100M investment; 300 jobs); a major healthcare headquarters ($36M investment; 800 jobs); and negotiating a public-private partnership to fund a $7.2M infrastructure project. I also led the creation and ongoing implementation of the highly successful Pearland Prosperity a holistic economic development strategic plan.

Omaha, Nebraska, United States

In less than two years, I led a division that increased job creation and capital investment to achieve regional economic development strategy goals by 500%, resulting in 8,000 new jobs and $1.8B in investment. I implemented process improvements for the regional attraction and retention division and marketing efforts that resulted in well-known companies such as TD Ameritrade, Yahoo, Zurich, LinkedIn, Novozymes and Ford Motor Credit expanding or bringing new operations to the Omaha region.

Council Bluffs, Iowa, United States

I oversaw the formation of the county’s first formalized regional economic development partnership and solicited close to $3M in public and private donations to fund initial operations. Once established, the partnership attracted $1.3B in capital investment and brought 1,800 jobs to Council Bluffs in less than 10 years. I honed my real estate and financing skills in this role while overseeing the development of a four-phase $4.8M business park and leading $17M in projects involving redevelopment of blighted properties in the city.

Responsible for the plant’s overall compliance with safety (O.S.H.A.) and environmental (E.P.A.) regulations.
