Matt is a founding member of DS.Emotion, an agency specifically established to change the way property and places are marketed in the UK. Matt’s training lay in graphic design but he recognised at a very early stage that what was to become known as placemaking would change the way people made decisions around where to live, work and invest.Having been exposed to consumer branding techniques through the 1990s, Matt identified that a similar, brand-driven approach could be applied to placemaking, targeting both business and consumer audiences. He set about creating DS.Emotion’s Active Branding process which engages key stakeholders from both the public and private sector in the development of brand-driven destinations and regeneration projects.Matts experience also extends to corporate branding and marketing for some of the UK's most successful businesses and brands outside of the property sector. This brings insight and understanding of both business and consumer preferences across multiple sectors, from fashion to finance.Matt’s passion for design is ever-present, but it is the creation and delivery of effective and compelling campaigns that has driven his success. His company now has three offices across the UK, boasting industry-leading expertise in placemaking, property and destination marketing.
