• Directed Department of Energy's energy sector outreach efforts with electricity and oil and natural gas sectors to promote resilience and energy security across the nation through effective, risk-based planning;• Developed and implemented strategic planning to improve energy emergency preparedness and response with states and energy sector, resulting in the update of 28 state energy assurance plans used during 2017 Hurricane season; • Led Emergency Support Function (ESF) #12 Operations Section, managing deployments of responders, information requests, coordination with industry partners, integration with FEMA, and future planning; & • Managed the Energy Emergency Assurance Coordinators (EEAC) agreement with national associations of emergency managers and governors offices to improve response coordination and information sharing.

PROJECT MANAGER (March 2015 - May 2016)• Selected by management team to supervise contract responsibilities in support of Department of Energy customer, including personnel welfare, deliverable management, and quality control.• Led team of three analysts supporting the Infrastructure Security and Energy Restoration (ISER) Division through infrastructure analysis, national preparedness policy, and situational reporting. PROGRAM ANALYST (June 2014 - March 2015) • Leveraged U.S. interagency and operational experience to support the Department of Energy's Infrastructure Security and Energy Restoration (ISER) Division in the development and implementation of programs and activities to enhance energy security and critical energy infrastructure protection. • Drafted policy memoranda on behalf of government customer covering emergency response capabilities and infrastructure protection for senior Department officials.• Supported senior Department officials through document review, research, and staffing to achieve results within interagency.

Helmand Province, Afghanistan

Deployed to Afghanistan in support of ISAF, where I first led a multinational interagency District Transition Team supporting Afghan Transition. My daily duties included mentorship of the Afghan district government officials on execution of District Delivery Program (DDP) budget, administration of local governance, and public outreach. In this capacity I also served the political advisor for the USMC battle space owner on political and tribal dynamics to inform operations and planning.Upon transition of the district, I was promoted to Deputy US Political Officer at the Helmand Provincial Reconstruction Team (HPR) where I shaped U.S./U.K. military policy in support of the larger provincial transition to Afghan lead. I provided political military advice on provincial GIROA outreach to northern Helmand and the districts. I also served as the lead interlocutor and reporting officer with Provincial Governor and Provincial Council.
