I started at Harlan Bakeries on third shift on October 28, 2012 as a general laborer. My second night there I was asked to be a team lead for one of the ovens due to my work ethics. I was also a team lead for the main bake line oven and also the packing department on the same bake line. I switched to first shift and started over as a general laborer to escape working night shift. I have learned the majority of the operation in a relatively short amount of time and I also can operate Raymond forklifts (reach truck, dock truck, and pallet jacks). Part of the responsibilities of the team lead position included roll calls, production scheduling, machine operator, as well as encouraging a group of employees to work as a team, to work smart and safe, and getting employees to work hard while maintaining a high standard with a high team moral.
