Project Manager / Account Manager
I held a dual role of Project and Account manager where it was key to establish positive long-term stakeholder and client relationships. I was responsible for managing complex projects from initiation to completion. And when the initial projects were completed, I was the main point of contact for any future requests or support. In addition to standard duties, I lead or collaborated on operational business development initiatives. I lead the transition to and implementation of a new Project Management software (Wrike). Developed new processes and standardized how the tool was used company wide. Navigated the delicate balance between utilizing the new software and preserving existing workflows wherever possible.Worked with leadership to establish KPI’s and other business metrics. Developed reporting and analytic dashboards in the new PM software.Worked with a developer to build an API between the PM tool and our accounting program to map and pull relevant and accurate billing data.
Operations Manager / Web Admin
I performed a wide verity of tasks and had a host of responsibilities. From Operations Management to Marketing, Web Admin, Order Fulfilment and Inventory. Mixed in with some customer service. If I saw an area that needed improvement or a closer look I was expected to and took the initiative to dig into it. Operations • Improved order processing speed and accuracy by adding automations and reducing touches and manual order entry • Complied historic order data and adjusted inventory to meet demand and reduce overhead. • Gathered data on requested items that were out of stock to help identify high-cost products that needed to be on hand.Website • Diagnosed and remedied site loading time. It was taking upwards of 16 seconds to load product pages! There were multiple reasons for this and through loads of research and experiments I was able to adjust get to an ideal loading time. Some of those adjustments included optimizing plugin settings, consolidating or removing unneeded plugins, fixing redirects, reconfiguring hosting, server and database settings and some minor Java script fixes. • Updated the purchase path to be more intuitive. • Established ways to monitor site health, outages and errors. Marketing and Analytics. • Set up dashboards and reporting in Google analytics. Gained insight into where users were coming from, what search terms were strong, user behavior on the site, conversions, Etcetera. • Researched keywords for SEO • Updated Title, and header tags, slugs and meta descriptions with relevant keywords. • Installed and set up a CRM
Operations Consultant
Assist companies with their operational setup by evaluating business needs and implementing new internal procedures. RePack — Met with USPS to identify best service scenarios & rates and set up a replica of European infrastructure for program to be run in the U.S. Salt City Print — Negotiated wholesale rates with multiple suppliers to create best service/price/turnaround options for clients.
Division Director - Print
As Director, my initial goal was to build a talented and cohesive team. Whether it involved identifying those with potential and drive from within the company or bringing in creative, competent individuals from outside, I was adamant about finding “the right fit” for our culture and vision. We succeeded in assembling a strong group that not only provided invaluable resources to the division that I was directly in charge of but offered vital creativity and services to other divisions as well.I created processes to collect and analyze relevant data and reported the findings to the Executive team. The metrics provided them with valuable insight into where we excelled as well as the areas that needed attention and allowed us to accurately project our production capacity and plan for growth and investment accordingly. The numbers also allowed me to request the occasional Pizza Party for my team without any hassle. I mean overseeing an operational growth of 17% year over year, maintaining a 35% profit margin (even after overly aggressive expansion), cutting waste by 45% after launching a waste cutting initiative, completing 70% projects before due date, is all pretty cool but you can never beat free pizza.
Project Manager
In 2009 Systematic was purchased by Molding Box. Molding Box was experiencing massive growth, placing in the Inc 500's fastest growing companies for two consecutive years. Adding the print service provided a stable diversification to the volatile internet marketing industry, which Molding Box relied heavily on at the time. With the added resources that the move to Molding Box provided, we were able to expand our capabilities and offerings. New responsibilities came thick and fast. We faced the challenge of integrating a new division into an existing small business. I had to be nimble and accommodating to the demands of the increased production volume as well as experimenting with expanded product offerings to determine profitability. I provided education and training to a newly established sales team on production techniques, sales tactics and the value of the details to help ensure job success and client retention.
Project Manager
As one of the first employees of an emerging small business, I was given the opportunity to gain knowledge and insight into highs and lows of building a successful business. I learned first hand the how's and why's of efficient planning and execution and how to act when the plan goes out the door. We had a niche in offering short run printing with quick turnarounds while providing expert service and superior quality. I managed multiple unique print projects daily, guiding them through the production process, given the individual parameters dictated. I was empowered and expected to make critical decisions regularly. Being such a small outfit (3 partners, someone's brother and myself) I would do the majority of the production work myself. Planning and time management was paramount. Multi tasking became an art form. And I found Zen in running a hydraulic cutter.
