Reporting into the UK solo insurance sompany Finance Director. Responsibilities included managing and reviewing all management, statutory and regulatory reporting including monthly and quarterly Board reports, annual 3 year Plan and Annual Report and Accounts. Working directly with the Group Finance teams and Business Units to manage timelines, lead on process improvements and other ad-hoc requests.

Working within the Regulatory Reporting team my role focused on setting up the Bupa Group and Solo insurer Solvency II (SII) reporting process including developing the basis of preparation, QRT production, consolidation and review process and embedding this into BAU reporting.I was seconded to a Finance Development Programme (FDP) as a SME for 9 months to design and implement SII data collection and QRT reporting through a new reporting tool to meet the accelerating reporting timeline. The secondment involved running workshops with Group Market Unit teams across the company as well as presenting updates to Senior Management and externally.In addition, I wrote and managed the governance process of the second year Solvency and Financial Condition Report (SFCR) for the Group and Solo reporting.

Matt is a fully qualified ACA accountant with 4 years experience in the insurance and investment management industry. He has been involved in the statutory audits and regulatory reporting for a range of companies included medium General Insurance, Mutuals', Lloyd's syndicates and IM firmsMatt has a proven track record in managing audit teams and dealing with tight deadlines. His experience in Insurance has developed strong Technical Accounting skills under IFRS and UK GAAP.He is quick to build strong relationships and is able to communicate contentious matters to all levels of management.
