I'm an award-winning professional with senior-level experience in communications, writing, editing, content and storytelling. I work as the Communications Director at Chicago City Day School, where I lead efforts to establish an institutional voice and communicate the school's narrative/storyline. Previously, I was a staff writer at the Daily Herald, a regional daily newspaper based in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, where I won multiple awards for investigative reporting, feature writing and arts reporting. In 2014, I earned my Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing from Columbia College Chicago.Throughout my career, I've demonstrated a unique ability to perform in a variety of roles — communications leader, content creator, editor, marketer, and storyteller. I can see the essential components of an institution's story arc and then craft a narrative around it in an executive voice. I know how to create engaging content that answers questions and solves problems. I am energetic, collaborative, and creative.
