I entered the sign industry in 1985 as a self-taught sign painter. It was around 1990 when I started to pay more attention to the electric side of the industry and around 2005 my training in Architectural Design was finally put to good use as I jumped head-first into the mechanically challenging yet financially rewarding world of monument sign design. Since then, I have helped hundreds of electric sign companies nationwide with my unique style of dynamic day and night view monument, channel letter, pylon, and blade sign designs. Yes, they have won a few awards - but more importantly - the method I use for title blocks and section views made my files much easier for sales, estimating, engineering, and the permit/installation process.This unique "sales-to-design" relationship approach grew in popularity with the sign shops I worked with, and around 2016, they started asking if I could share my unique style, method, and process with their in-house design team.... and LearnSignDesign.com was born.  Designers learn the basics on what electric signs are all about.
