I had to find work due to been made redundant by Tennals. I advertised on sites such as check a trade. I did this for a few months and then moved onto a commercial site in Coventry buildings the arts building at Warwick university.

Managing small works, refurbs to public houses and care homes. My time was cut short at this position due to the global pandemic.

Insurance repair and renovation department. Running individual insurance claims on behalf of two national insurance companies. I would need to organise materials and Labour all in-keeping within a set budget. Making at least 30% profit on each individual claim. Claims would range from £500 - £200k I would manage up to 50 claims at any time. Using my own labour (team) and also sub-contractor labour.Writing CPP’s organising CDMs attending within required SLA.

Working Site manager on commercial pub refurbs.Maintaining high levels of H&S at all times keeping to set KPI’s I would be in site from start to completion of the job.

Surveying jobs nationally. Building up quotes and sending them to required FM at each contract. I would project manage larger jobs where more than one trade would be present.

Continuing my learning once I had qualified, I was thrown into the big wide world of sub contracting. I continued this for the next 10 years developing everyday, gaining a chance to become a contracts manager within the company I was sub-contracting to at that time.

Completing NVQ level 1 and level 2 in carpentry, I worked on a variety of sites around the country honing my skills
