As assistant program director, ensures the Doctoral of Science Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant residents conduct quality research projects that meet the requirements for graduation from Baylor University. Improves and increases published products of the Darnall EMPA program. Reviews EMPA resident protocols and case reports for scientific merit and feasibility, and guides the residents through the publication process. Supervises EMPA residents’ Grand Rounds presentations. Performs ED shifts and functions as staff preceptor for EMPA residents rotating through the Department of Emergency Medicine, providing continuing academic/professional supervision of EMPA residents. Precepts PA student rotators.

Part-time emergency medicine PA for small community hospital. Along with one physician, staffs nine bed emergency department. Provides care for minor illnesses and injuries as well as critical care and life-sustaining procedures to stabilize for transport to larger facilities.

Waegwan, North Gyeongsang, South Korea

Served as primary care provider for the forward deployed Special Troops Battalion supporting 2nd Infantry Division Sustainment Brigade. Principal advisor to the Commander for all aspects of force health protection for over 300 U.S. and Korean Soldiers. Served as Officer In Charge (OIC) and sole medical provider of an expanded aid station in both tactical and garrison environments. Performed over 5,000 patient encounters. Led section of eight medics.
