For the last 4 years I have been employed as a lifeguard at the Dale Turner Family YMCA, the last 3 years as a head guard. Being a part of this team has taught me many skills ,such as being a part of a team of lifeguards and being able to work collaboratively. As well as dedication, as well as determination to do better, when I began working at the Y I started as an assistant lifeguard and through hard work and leadership was promoted to head lifeguard and even given the responsibility of assisting in the creation of the pool schedule. Being a lifeguard has also given me plenty of time to become a better leader and teacher through swim lessons programs and being in charge of a small group of children and teaching them to swim. For this position especially I have lots of experience with customer service, outlook, scheduling software, and event planning from my time as a head lifeguard and scheduler at the Y. I hope to further my skills of working in a team, responsibility, and leadership skills.
