CurrentRole SummaryResponsibilities:• Plan, Organise, and manage Projects in the Development Phase: Oversee projects across the Level Crossing Removal Authority and Department of Transport and Planning portfolios, developing operational requirements to align with the Franchise Agreement Train Projects Module and MTM’s project management standards.• Ensure Compliance and Completion: Manage projects to meet specified objectives, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget, adhering to MTM’s policies and procedures while meeting the Clients program and cost targets.• Impact Assessment: Complete impact assessment of project works to communicate to the State the operational, maintenance and opex changes due to the Project works.Key Tasks:• Support MTM’s Project Management Objectives: Ensure effective project management and timely delivery of project deliverables within scope and budget.• Provide Expertise: Offer professional expertise on complex major infrastructure projects, including scope development and feasibility assessment.• Ensure Best Practices: Develop projects to best practice standards, complying with contract and asset management standards, relevant approvals, and stakeholder satisfaction.• Identify and Mitigate Risks: Proactively identify project risks, providing advice and recommendations to senior management and the Client.• Consultant Management: Engage and manage consultants during design development.• Mentorship: Mentor and coach Assistant Project Managers to enhance their skills.• Reporting: Present project findings at steering committees and review panels, and handle monthly project reporting, forecasting, and invoicing.• Stakeholder Management: Manage internal and external stakeholders, facilitate workshops, and achieve agreement on critical project issues.• Operational Improvement: Ensure projects result in agreed operational improvements and align with MTM’s business and network readiness plans through effective negotiation.
