The Star Entertainment Group is the operator of three casinos on Australia’s east coast - The Star (Sydney), Jupiters Gold Coast, Treasury Casino (Brisbane). The Star Entertainment Group is also a joint venture partner that won the right to develop Brisbane's Queens Wharf casino and entertainment precinct.Responsibilities and AchievementsCurrently leading the IT project group delivering The Star Brisbane integrated resort at Queens Wharf Brisbane. Manager of a team of five project managers delivering a portfolio of over 30 projects. Part of a team of five core members that successfully delivered the Foundation Program for Tabcorp and Echo Entertainment. The Foundation program was a $22M program of large scale infrastructure upgrades delivered across five properties in three and a half years. Program/Project Manager of the $7.5M program for the refresh of the Echo Entertainment’s LAN infrastructure. This was for The Star (Sydney), Jupiters Gold Coast, Treasury Casino (Brisbane) & Jupiters Townsville. Program delivered to scope and budget. Lead a 20 person team for the deployment of a suite of IT products for new Darling hotel. This team included five vendors groups - Cisco wireless, iBahn IPTV, Vintech door locks, Bartech fridges & Control4 room automation. The Darling Hotel went onto win the HM Awards 2012 for Tech Hotel. Managed the project deployment for the In Room Entertainment installation at Jupiters Townville. Guest wireless and wired internet, IPTV replacement and Avaya IP phones, delivered on budget and in time for the Townsville 400 V8’s.  Transition of data centre hardware and services into newly built data centers and shutdown/decommissioning of legacy rooms. Managed operational handover to local support teams and vendor support contracts. Extensive financial management experience. Budget estimation, forecasting and project closure.

Telstra is Australia’s largest telecommunications and information services company. I was employed on the QANTAS account in the Integrated Services and Outsourcing group. This group was responsible for the servicing and support of over 20000 users at 200 Qantas airports and offices worldwide.Responsibilities and Achievements Coordination of resources, scheduling and communication on the QIPII infrastructure replacement program, a $10 million dollar project. Managed the upgrade of 210 Netware servers worldwide to Zenworks 7.1 and Symantec Anti-Virus. Responsibilities included scheduling, resource management and stakeholder communications.  Scheduling and resource management for the commissioning and decommissioning of Qantas servers and sites. Responsible for project reporting and Project Manager updates. Planning of implementation tasks for the QIPII infrastructure replacement program. Lodging and tracking of changes through the IBM change management system. Risk and contingency planning, resource management and stakeholder communications.

HSBC is a British multinational banking and financial services company with their Australian head office in Sydney. I was brought into the project team by the senior project manager to assist on a large email and network migration project. Responsibilities and Achievements Responsible for the design and documentation of all aspects of the migration process for transferring 1400 HSBC users from Windows 2000/Netware environment to Windows XP/Citrix/Active Directory. Management of all HSBC desktop and laptop assets during rollout ensuring necessary hardware was available for upcoming migrations. Management of deployment teams responsible for migrating users from NetWare environment to Windows XP/Active Directory. Planned and oversaw decommissioning of Domino and NetWare servers.

This group was responsible for the servicing and support of over 20000 users at 200 airports and offices worldwide.Responsibilities and Achievements Project Manager for the migration of all network and desktop infrastructure from Adelaide international and domestic airports to a new Adelaide airport terminal. Team leader, managing deployment teams (Australia-wide) of up to 12 people performing migrations to new NetWare servers and installation of Windows 2000/XP SOE. Liaised with and advised Qantas senior management regarding scheduling of staff migration tasks Designed asset and software tracking database for global hardware deployment project. Successful migration of sensitive 24 x 7 data centers and critical Qantas operational areas Involved in numerous pilot programs and testing of new procedures and technologies prior to full scale rollout.
