Matthew Cusimano leverages his technical skill, aesthetic vision, and background in documentary and nonfiction film to help media companies, nonprofits, and growing startups craft impactful narratives that connect with their audiences. He currently partners with a range of entertainment, media, and social impact organizations through his video production company, Mango Tree Productions. His passion for visual storytelling spans over a decade with experiences in field work, education, and live events.From 2012 - 2014 he worked as a school teacher in Guyana, South America through Peace Corps, having specialized in literacy development, documentary filmmaking, and art activism. He partnered with numerous organizations including UNICEF, The U.S. State Department, and The Witness Project, inspired by the "Inside Out" project by French Artist, JR. Shortly before serving, Matthew worked on numerous projects involving both film and stage in Chicago, IL. Matthew graduated from NYU's M.A. Culture & Media program with a focus in Cinema Studies and Anthropology, and summa cum laude from Columbia College Chicago's Film & Video B.A. program.
