CurrentI am a trial lawyer and commercial litigator. I focus primarily on contract and insurance disputes, but I have broad experience in business litigation. I have represented clients in in antitrust, insurance coverage, intellectual property, and contract-related matters. I have appeared in federal courts throughout the country and am well versed in both federal and Virginia civil procedure.In addition I have significant experience in real estate litigation involving easements, title issues, and partition suits. I also am frequently involved in appellate work before the Supreme Court of Virginia, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and other appellate courts across the country.I devote significant time each year to pro bono matters. These efforts included landlord tenant cases for indigent clients as well as civil liberties issues.I am based in the Richmond, Virginia office of McGuireWoods. I live in Richmond with my wife, three children, and dog.
