SHINE is a community school model that offers extended day academic programming for students, adult education, & family events. -Program management of the SHINE program at Beaver Acres Elementary School-Supervise 12 instructors & 1 program coordinator-HR responsibilities- writing job descriptions, screening candidates using ATS, interviewing candidates, hiring/on-boarding using HRIS, I-9 verification, Learning Management software (LMS) tracking for employees, approving timesheets in HRIS, termination of employees-Work closely with school administration & teachers to deliver curriculum-based S.T.E.M. & Literacy instruction to 300 1st-5th graders/year.-Partner with community organizations to deliver adult education to 150 family members/year.-Supervise the food backpack program that provides 70 food insecure families with 15-20 lbs. of food per week.

Family Centered Services of CT collaborates with Barnard Environmental Magnet School (New Haven), Harry M. Bailey Middle School (West Haven), and Park City Magnet School (Bridgeport) to implement the Wyman Teen Outreach Program, a tier 1, highly effective, evidence-based methodology in preventing risk factors that contribute to drop out rates, academic failure, teen pregnancy and other negative behaviors. TOP teens gather weekly throughout the school year for curriculum-guided discussions about relevant issues and making good decisions for the future, and they participate in regular community service learning and neighborhood improvement projects. The structured community service allows the students to become "help givers", develop positive and supportive relationships with adults and other peers and promotes a sense of purpose and healthy behavior and decision-making.-Train, supervise, manage a team of 3 TOP school facilitators and intern(s)-HR responsibilities- Tracking leave time/PTO for staff. The EarthRights School Burma contributes to the development of a vibrant and well-informed civil society in Burma, and communities along the Thai-Burma border through the intensive training of young environmental activists from diverse ethnic backgrounds. The training program is designed to create young leaders with skills and knowledge to work on earth rights issues in their communities, while also providing a model that combines a balance of theoretical and experiential learning for activists and community leaders.Since the EarthRights School's establishment in 1999, it has gained a reputation for graduating highly effective peace and environmental advocates for Burma. buildOn is a Youth Development and International Development organization. They run after-school youth service programs that mobilize urban teens to lift up their communities and change the world through intensive local community service and by building schools in some of the poorest countries on the planet.buildOn’s Global School Construction Program provides rural communities in developing nations across the globe with access to education. They are breaking ground on a new school every six days with the help of our U.S. afterschool program members, donors and parents who have provided over 700,000 volunteer work days to build schools for their children. Through a methodology that puts gender equality at the forefront and villagers in control, we are providing not only schools, but the knowledge and the power to change entire communities.-Piloted and led first Ambassador Trek for organizational donors to Malawi. IRIS — Integrated Refugee & Immigrant Services is a program of the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut and is the local affiliate of Episcopal Migration Ministries and the Immigration and Refugee Program of Church World Service.IRIS resettles approximately 200 refugees each year. IRIS also provides some services to asylees and other immigrants. Currently, over half of IRIS’s refugee clients come from Iraq. Others come from Afghanistan, Congo, Cuba, Ethiopia, Iran, Somalia, Sudan, and other countries.-Job Developer- Found employment for refugees and asylees in Greater New Haven, CT area. -Case Manager- helped refugees and asylees with housing, medical, educational, and employment.-Refugee Student Tutor- tutored refugee and asylee students in school and after school.-Department of Social Service Liaison- organized an extensive data base of refugees and asylees employment records and reported information to DSS on a quarterly basis.
