The Commercial arm of the business was market facing, and this gave me my first experience of trading, markets and oil-based derivative products. The Desktop Support team managed all Technology infrastructure for the company, and my time in this role ensured that any Technology issues were managed to minimise downtime for trading. I then completed a rotation with the Application Support team, which managed to end-to-end trade booking and risk management software for the business. I was able to work on a variety of projects during my time here, such as the London office move, but also ran value-generating projects which helped to automate manual back-office processes. This included, but was not limited to SPAN Risk Analysis, Swap commission invoicing, Trade Execution & Fee Analysis, and Broker statement reconciliation. Show less
