I am currently a doctoral psychology researcher at Cardiff University. My research has explored emotional development in children with socio-emotional and behavioural difficulties, with a focus on informing possible music-based practice and interventions. I have engaged in further quantitative and qualitative research on autism and mental health, child play and psychological development, and relationships between parenting practices and child development outcomes. Throughout my PhD, I have strived to conduct innovative research with a central focus on outcomes and applications.Beyond academic research, I have worked as a policy researcher in the Welsh Government, engaged in university-level teaching, and taken on various volunteering roles centred on mental health and social mobility.
