I worked at Lowestoft Sixth Form College on a contractor basis via GYC teaching WebDesign, Database Management, E-Commerce, Computer Animation and Project Management.

I worked for UCS for a number of years and have been involved with the delivery of the BSc (H) Applied Computing and the FdSc Applied Computing. I developed E-Learning materials using CamStudio and WordPress. Both of which are used for standard Moodle style pre-recorded material and web delivery. When I first arrived in November 2007, E2E was graded as "failing". Working with the team we revolutionised the entire course from start to finish implementing radical changes to fit our target market and taking on board feedback from our small cohort.By May of that year the course was no longer seen as failing and following an intense summer of recruitment and skills upgrading we started the next academic year on a strong footing. By the time I stepped down our E2E programme had the best results in the UK. This was a fantastic achievement for the team and myself and I wish them well in the future.As part of this department I managed approximately 500 cross-sector learners, a lot of the recruitment came through close working relationships with the local schools and PRU's. We had a wide ranging and disparate cohort some of which were classified as having complex emotional and behavioural needs and some of whom were gifted and talented. All needed to be carefully assessed to ensure we provided the right provision. I oversaw the assessment and ensured that students were secure and well managed. As part of this cohort we had two classes of discreet KS4 learners who had severe behavioural issues. We needed to ensure we worked closely with the YoT and keep good records of achievement and progression. We worked hard and managed to get practically all learners into mainstream education and for a few we managed to secure early university placements (aged 17).The third section of this department was a small Construction area staffed by highly motivated and exceptionally skilled construction staff. My job here was simply to ensure that the paperwork was completed and that the positive student feedback was documented. During my time with this department we forged strong links with neighbouring colleges which were used for progression and placements.

Delivery of various computing subjects from pre-GCSE level through to level 3 (A-level)

I delivered various bespoke IT training packages for employees at all levels in various organisations including NHS, Redbridge and Havering CCs and JD Sports.Often the sessions were workshop based on client sites which required me tor produce standard training docs including high quality printed materials and classroom based presentations.I produced online courses and webinars for larger organisations such as the NHS and JD Sports who required large numbers of staff to be trained on the use of applications. These sessions were web-based and required the creation of video presentations, pod-casts and online exams to be completed by the employees.

Whilst working at ADC I produced the 3G network management system for o2 (BT-Cellnet). Contracting at the o2 office in Slough.Unix AdminOracleSQLPL/SQL

I was responsible for the development and maintenance of NetExpert (network management software) at a large number of EMEA sites, including COLT Telecom and Proximus. Oracle database administration and programming an an-house telephony product called Validus.
