For over 20 years, I've worked as a teacher of computer science, consistently achieving outstanding results. The part of the job I enjoy most is taking complex technical subjects and simplifying those concepts into documentation that my students (or anyone else) can understand, ensuring accessibility without sacrificing depth. This experience has equipped me with a keen understanding of how to translate technical jargon into clear, comprehensible content. My role has involved producing hundreds of self-guided technical guides, each carefully crafted to be both high-quality and easy to follow. I pride myself on my responsiveness to feedback and constantly revamp and improve my materials to ensure they are the best that they can be.I am keen to move into a technical authoring, programmer or technical training role and bring with me a robust understanding of contemporary technologies including C#.Net, VB.Net, and SQL (Oracle and MS), as well as MVC, APIs, Unity and Linux, I am a strong team player with unwavering commitment to excellence. Most of my development experience is in C#.Net and I consider myself to be a very competent programmer. I am keen to continually develop my skills sets and am currently building my skills in MVC, SQL Server Management Studio and Amazon AWS. I am the administrator for VMWare ESXi which I use to provide open environments for students who are developing cloud based systems.Skills o

Area ManagerRedbridge College Nov 2006 - May 2010Redbridge CollegeWhen I first arrived in November 2007, E2E was graded as "failing". Working with the team we revolutionised the entire course from start to finish implementing radical changes to fit our target market and taking on board feedback from our small cohort.By May of that year the course was no longer seen as failing and following an intense summer of recruitment and skills upgrading we started the next academic year on a strong footing. By the time I stepped down our E2E programme had the best results in the UK. This was a fantastic achievement for the team and myself and I wish them well in the future. As part of this department I managed approximately 500 cross-sector learners, a lot of the recruitment came through close working relationships with the local schools and PRU's. We had a wide ranging and disparate cohort some of which were classified as having complex emotional and behavioural needs and some of whom were gifted and talented. All needed to be carefully assessed to ensure we provided the right provision. I oversaw the assessment and ensured that students were secure and well managed. As part of this cohort we had two classes of discreet KS4 learners who had severe behavioural issues. We needed to ensure we worked closely with the YoT and keep good records of achievement and progression. We worked hard and managed to get practically all learners into mainstream education and for a few we managed to secure early university placements (aged 17).The third section of this department was a small Construction area staffed by highly motivated and exceptionally skilled construction staff. My job here was simply to ensure that the paperwork was completed and that the positive student feedback was documented. During my time with this department we forged strong links with neighbouring colleges which were used for progression and placements. -
