This engagement with Moore Stephens was on site at QBE Insurance developing a Microsoft-based enterprise datawarehouse, loaded via SQL-Server Integration Services. A set of Analysis Services cubes was developed from the datawarehouse to client specifications. A suite of Reporting Services reports was also developed, reading the datawarehouse directly, as well as the AS cube set. I was involved in some way in every part of the solution, both in terms of design and development.

This engagement with Moore Stephens was initially to design, develop, test and deploy a Microsoft-based datamart, OLAP cubes and Reporting Services reports for a client, Powerplace, a Towergate Insurance wholly owned subsidiary. At ACE I joined a team of 6 other BI Analysts, who collectively were responsible for the delivery of the Business Intelligence System to ACE staff. This took the form of Proclarity briefing books and Reporting Services Reports, fed by Analysis Services cubes and an enterprise datawarehouse. Working in the Consulting division, I was involved in a long-term datawarehouse / reporting system for Openwork, a subsidiary of Zurich Pty Ltd. Openwork is a network of Independant Financial Advisers. The datawarehouse was primarily based on the SWIFT administration system from Sirius.

Consulting via Zap with the Colorado Group, I worked on a Datawarehouse and Reporting solution, based on the Retek retail management system.

Consulting via Zap at Suncorp Bank, I worked on a web-delivered OLAP reporting solution using the Cognos 7 toolset. This extended to a KPI delivery system using an early version of Cognos Metrics Manager.

I was creating reports using the Oracle Reports product, sourcing from an in-house application based on Oracle. The application managed the investment activities of over 5000 clients.

I was employed to work as a tester on the company's bespoke asset management admin system, which was created in Forte against an Oracle Database. Once that went live, I continued working as a tester throughout important periods such as Y2K and the introduction of GST into Australia.
