3D Cad Manager (Bim)
Working through Atkins, for GCA as 3D CAD / BIM Manager on the £200M Liverpool WwTW project located at Sandon Dock. Responsible for implementing a 'Level 2 BIM ready project'. Day to day tasks include looking after a team of Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical & Electrical 3D draughtsman, providing on the job training and ongoing mentoring. Introducing to the company to a fully 3D design workflow and also utilising BIM techniques such as 4D timelining and 6D asset management. Implemented 3D model change control system linking to weekly 3D design reviews. Ongoing co ordination of external partners / supply chain 3D design and integration. Implemented Autodesk BIM 360 system (utilising the BIM model on hand held devices out in the field) system being used for construction teams ongoing management of snags, monitoring quality and SHE aspects, then continuing into commissioning. Other tasks include working with BIM4bids, mentoring, training and developing BIM capabilities across other Atkins UK offices.
