I started this position in June 2017 at Aetna, then in November 2017 The Hartford acquired Aetna’s Group Insurance business which included our related IT team supporting the internally developed claims processing system. During this time I was responsible for managing a team of 5-7 full-time software developers as well as 4-6 vendor partners supporting 5 or 6 areas of our internally developed claims processing system. Led my teams through The Hartford acquisition and integration effort to stand up a new instance of the claims processing system to support business at The Hartford within one year of the acquisition. We also maintained the system at Aetna to support business there until clients’ renewed with The Hartford. In 2019 and 2020, I was also the IT Delivery Lead for a multi-year and multi-team project to implement Paid Family and Paid Medical Leaves for the states of Washington and Massachusetts. I was responsible for gathering team estimates, monitoring team progress and costs, and reporting progress and status to Senior Leadership.

Enhanced and modified internally developed UI for performing builds to meet needs of development and deployment teams. Joined the Production Support team resolving production issues reported by end users either via data corrections or determining if there was a code issue causing the problem. Completed defect fixes found during the ticket analysis process.
