Evaluated different SCADA packages and chose GE Fanuc iFix and iHistorian. A team was put together and trained to implement the product into the environment and run parallel to the old system until it was phased out. I was also trained and aided in the building of the system and to provide ongoing IT support for the new SCADA system.• Visual Basic 6 and .NET application development for HR, QA and Finance departments.• Implemented Maximo to replace legacy VAX application for tool room inventory, preventive maintenance and work order generation.• Implemented Citrix Metaframe XP to support the iFix SCADA system to save on software licensing for the plant as well as deploy low cost terminal servers.• SQL Server database administration/database development • Maintained VAX VMS clusters in support of VAX based HR and SCADA applications while migration to newer infrastructure and software platforms was being implemented.• Constructed applications that interface to plant floor machinery (BOSCH equipment, High speed checkweighers, etc.)
