I'm a conservation research scientist with over 15 years of wildlife and environmental biology experience. I work closely at the science-policy and science-management interfaces where my team and I bring scientific information to inform on-the-ground actions and programmatic planning.The research I do takes me throughout diverse landscapes from small, forested headwater streams to large rivers and wetlands and across diverse land uses including protected areas, cities, suburbs, and farmlands. Although I'm particularly fond of amphibians, I'm lucky to study a rich diversity of critters including beaver, fish, birds, turtles, mollusks, kelp, and more.I fundamentally believe that conservation is about resilient species and environments, but it's also about people.
