About Max Mällinen

Above all else, I am passionate about the environment and the investigation of economic and/or non-economic solutions to current environmental issues such as climate change and how these solutions can be applied in the real world. I hope to bring his passion, expertise, and ingenuity to a worth while venture soon.In addition to my education at Quinnipiac, I am heavily involved in multiple organizations and have taken on numerous leadership positions in the past. Currently, I am a Senior Senator for the Student Government Association, President of Order of Omega (a Greek Honor Society), the VP for Programming of the Eta Sigma chapter of Beta Theta Pi, Prop and Programming Chair for Quinnipiac Club Rugby, and a member of the 2020 Orientation Leader Staff. Outside of Quinnipiac, I am an avid traveler, having been to 39 countries and all 50 U.S. States, and have a deep passion for competition in sports. I am a three-time National Champion motorsports driver and have competed in multiple different vehicles across the U.S., Canada, and Australia. Further, I am a seasoned veteran in the world of ski racing, having competed, coached, and worked in the ski industry for many years on the national and regional levels and have skied across North America, Europe, South America, and Oceania. I attempt to continue my lifelong love for the outdoors and skiing through being a U16 Race Coach at Mohawk Mountain, a mountain I have worked at my entire college career, and by being a ski technician at Sports Creel in Spokane, WA, a local ski shop I have been a customer at my entire life.
