I am a detail-oriented multi-tasker who thrives in fast-paced high stress environments. While serving in the United States Marines I held many different billets and leadership positions. As an Aircraft Crash Fire and Rescue specialist I was responsible for the direct supervision and training and teaching of 50+ Marines, the lives and safety of all military personnel and hundreds of millions of dollars in equipment. As a Marine Recruiter I spent 3 years utilizing professional sales and marketing to establish and maintain a positive involvement in the local community I was assigned to, and by doing so was awarded the 9th Marine Corps district recruiter of the year for 2010. After returning to the emergency service from recruiting I went on to hold several billets above my pay grade as an E-6, to include fire chief which is an E-8 to E-9 position. In 2013 I was selected to be the acting forward operating base officer in charge, and hand select and establish a 7-man unit of combat search and rescue specialists in Northern Helmand Afghanistan. Responsible for working with U.S. Army medical evacuation company and during that time aided in the rescue of 126 rescues and 2 mass casualty responses. After returning home I was selected to be the head of training and development for a squadron of 325 marines. I started teaching and instructed in 2003 both Marines and civilian personnel in any and all classes in regard to Fire, EMS, HazMat, Search and Rescue, improvised explosive devices / home made explosives, combat operations, mass casualty responses, and incident command.
