This rare experience is a challenging and stimulating chance for me to be involved in every aspect of MRI research: hardware installation and troubleshooting, sequence programming, RF coil design and fabrication, phantom creation and image processing.Main activities:➢ deep knowledge of MR physics➢ contribution to setting-up, troubleshooting and organization of all the equipment of an MRI research lab starting from an empty room➢ MR programming of fast high-resolution MR 3D scans in-vivo at 0.1 T: GRE, bSSFP, SE, TSE and double-echo sequences, using Spinlab (RS2D) in Java and Python➢ RF coil design and testing (soldering, measurements via LCR meter and VNA) of various coil geometries; development of an innovative high-performance open coil➢ FEM simulations (COMSOL Multiphysics - Structural Mechanics & AC/DC modules)➢ construction of MRE transducer and coil structures with mechanical tools➢ 3D CAD design and 3D printing (FDM & SLA technologies), creation of phantoms (PVA & Silicone)➢ implementation of MRE reconstruction methods (inverse problem solving) in MATLAB➢ optimization of an MRE protocol for brain clinical study on a 3T Siemens scanner➢ co-lecturing of the practical course "Hands-on Magnetic Resonance Imaging" in our lab (3 ECTS)➢ co-supervision of students: Master Thesis on analog amplifiers (6m) and MRE reconstruction (6m), and an intern on electronic measurements (11w)Some congress abstracts:➢ ESMRMB 2020, "In vivo imaging using an open biplanar volume coil at 0.1 T"➢ ISMRM 2020, "Development of a biplanar volume coil for an open 0.1 T MRI system"➢ ISMRM 2020, "A low-cost, versatile phantom for elastography: validation via numerical simulations and MRE"

Within my role as integrator of EATOPS software, I succeeded in creating a prototype of the product used for commercial offers as an illustration of all the capabilities of EATOPS technology. This software is oriented towards the management of alarms and their 3D visualization for oil rig offshore platforms or for luxury boats. During this internship at EATOPS I've also participated in sessions of data transmission to and from the satellite SwissCube of EPFL for which EATOPS regularly manages the communications, as this company is the constructor of the antenna installed at their location for this purpose.
