Ahimsa House, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is Georgia's first and only organization dedicated to helping the human and animal victims of domestic violence reach safety together. Ahimsa House accomplishes this mission in the following three ways: 1. Providing emergency shelter and veterinary assistance for animals caught in violent homes--thereby removing a barrier to families escaping abuse, and protecting both human and animal lives. 2. Offering information and referral services via a 24-hour crisis line.3. Raising public and professional awareness about the connections between animal abuse and domestic violence. -
