My extensive experience in the Illinois Army National Guard, where I have served as a key member of the full-time support team, has provided me with a unique skill set that is highly beneficial in fast-paced and diverse environments.To give you an idea of who I am, I’d like to share a bit about my role in the National Guard. The Illinois Army National Guard is a large organization with around 10,000 Soldiers, yet only a small fraction of us are employed full-time to manage the daily operations, planning, and training required to keep the force mission-ready. In this capacity, I have often found myself coordinating large-scale operations, akin to planning a conference for 10,000 participants, each of whom needs a tailored role and schedule. This requires meticulous planning and an ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.In my current position, I support the HR department by taking on the responsibilities of the HR Chief and four of my assistants, ensuring that daily operations run smoothly. My duties include everything from creating and revising operational plans to making critical decisions that affect the entire department. I also oversee a wide range of training activities, ensuring that Soldiers are not only equipped with the necessary skills but also receive the guidance they need to develop personally and professionally.What sets me apart is my ability to wear multiple hats and excel in various roles, all while maintaining a positive and collaborative attitude. I take great pride in my ability to seamlessly hand off responsibilities to others, enabling them to succeed without feeling any resentment or reluctance. My focus is always on contributing to the success of the organization and supporting the growth of those around me.I have always approached my career with a sense of purpose, looking for ways to be useful to the group or organization and making meaningful contributions before moving on to new challenges.
