As a consultant with the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH), Mayur worked on developing a performance evaluation framework for highway development vendors (contractors/concessionaires, consultants) and conducted a pilot on twenty national highway projects. In order to improve the quality of construction and ensure best selection of vendors, a roadmap was prepared for the incorporation of performance rating in bidding process whereby past performance can be considered for bid evaluation. In addition to this, process improvements were suggested to make project documents more standardized and reflective of on-ground progress. In addition to this, Mayur was also a part of the team which ideated and executed the first 'National Highways Excellence Awards' which is now an annual exercise to recognise India's best highways and toll plazas.
