Attained Masters in mechanical engineering from Queen Mary University of London with first class honours. In great anticipation of what the future holds and very eager to delve into the professional sector of engineering. My academic background has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of mechanical engineering concepts and practical experience with various engineering projects, tools and software. I am particularly proud of my fourth year Master’s thesis where I was able to gain hands on experience designing and assembling a vacuum chamber for the testing of propeller performance under different atmospheric conditions. This projected tested the culmination of all my engineering experience and knowledge; CREO Parametric and SolidWorks for 3D rendering and assembly of components, Abaqus for FEA and optimising for pressure induced stresses – and hence minimising wall thickness and costs of the chamber, Star CCM for CFD analysis of the air flow inside the chamber – ensuring minimal effects from recirculating air on the propeller, and various data collection software to collect and format the data from the experiment.In addition to my academic achievements, I have gained valuable work experience that has honed my organizational and leadership skills. As a Retail Supervisor at Moto Hospitality LTD, I trained new employees, developed performance improvement plans, and optimized store layout and product placement, resulting in increased sales and improved customer satisfaction. These experiences have strengthened my ability to work effectively independently and within a team, skills that I believe are essential for a young engineer which I can confidently transfer from my past experiences.
