In 2010 I began my first full-time job as a secretary in the IT department at Indiana University Southeast, where I provided in person IT support, scheduled part time employees, handled the ordering of office supplies and reconciled our monthly credit card spending. After a merger in 2010 my position was phased out and I was moved into a Junior Desktop AV role where I was given the opportunity to assist faculty with in classroom support as well as assist in designing and implementing new classroom technology designs. I was quickly promoted to a role within the Networking and Telecommunications team assisting with an upgrade of our campus phone system. When our lead telephone engineer left to pursue other opportunities I stepped in and completed the phase out of our Nortel CS1000 PBX system and migrated the campus to a combination of PoTs lines and Lync 2013. I was later promoted to Sr. Desktop AV technician and prior to my departure from the University I had been promoted to IT Project Manager. In 2016 I was offered a position as IT Service Desk Analyst Sr. at Hogan Lovells US LLP where I managed our evening shift. I provided telephone and email support to our International offices and managed our Mac OS computers on site. While in this role I was privileged with the opportunity to provide IT support in offsite locations like Monaco, New York City, and Washington D.C. In 2019 I graduated from IU Southeast with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and a minor in French. My French is a bit out of practice at this point but I can still read and write fairly well in French.After spending a decade working in the IT field I made the move to a new challenge working as an Information Governance Analyst in the Fall of 2021. In my current role I handle incoming and outgoing client transfers, information governance, and filing of client records.
