Responsible for managing assigned product sets throughout the product lifecycle from planning to execution in support of organizational strategy and objectives.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Explore and analyze industry trends to identify products to be added to the product offering. Develop and maintain appropriate manufacturer and supplier relationships. Maintain “market knowledge” of pricing, availability, trends and competitor impact. Determine product specifications; define long term strategy of product set. Maintain market knowledge of pricing and trends to develop pricing strategies and models. Prepare product marketing documents to drive product activity. Develop and maintain internal event campaigns to generate product awareness and demand. Drive ongoing improvement in sales and product profitability. Interface with sales management, sales teams and marketing to promote assigned product lines. Develop and follow through on promotions required to increase the sale of assigned products. Coordinate with sales management to assure that product training and mind share is maintained. Create product assembly instructions and approve product packaging specifications. Coordinate with training department to develop necessary product training. Maintain upkeep of product content (up-sell, cross sell, add-on options, photos, data sheets, etc).
