Led the development of the museum's first organized Development Department. Keys to my success were based on integrating all departments with programs, exhibits, operational teams, the President, and Board of Directors. Responsible for nearly $2M in annual grants. Other accomplishments included: Initiated and managed a $35M capital campaign; Awarded a prestigious $1.58M National Science Foundation grant, at 100% of the requested amount on the first-ever invited submission; Raised over $700,000 in new endowment funds, $700,000 in major gifts, $400,000 in a grant from the Florida Dept. of Community Affairs/FEMA, and $100,000 from the National Wildfire Urban Interface Group. Managed Museum's Einstein on Wine fundraiser and initiated its companion Einstein Dine event; Developed and implemented donor recognition procedures and initiated a series of donor cultivation activities; Implemented Raiser's Edge donor database management system; Staffed Development Department by hiring an Annual Fund/Special Events manager, Capital Campaign Manager, Grant Specialist, and Development Administration Assistant; Produced the museum's first Annual Report and first online Annual Report; Instituted compliance with FASB 116/117.
