A Senior Art Director has achieved the role through mastery of craft, but has earned the position through their ability to apply their knowledge of content-centric design solutions across the spectrum of media. They are responsible for completing work at a high level, and for leading cross-disciplined design teams for projects that require multiple assets to work seamlessly together. Therefore, the “work” may mean providing look-and-feel vision in conjunction with a Creative Director, co-working with other designers to achieve a vision or doing the designs themselves; it definitely means being the definitive expert on brand requirements, design unity and content-centricity of all deliverables for a project.The Senior Art Director is tied tightly to the Creative Director and Executive Account Manager on larger projects; and they may be the creative lead on other projects. In the later case, they are expected to be on calls with the EAM or Project Manager to carry the content-centric creative perspective on the project.The Senior Art Director is expected to proactively mentor the ADs and Senior Motion Graphics Designers / Editors, so that they are increasing the cross-disciplinary understanding and mastery of craft. They are the first line ADs should turn to when there is questions about technical or artistic approach or skill; either in their own work or with someone within their group.

As a Junior Editor and Motion Graphics Designer my job is to transform scripts and visualizations into highly kinetic and compelling animations for a multitude of scenarios from large scale events to mobile devices. I work in conjunction with the creative director, art director, and account managers to conceptualize and design motion graphics pieces for clients under tight deadlines within the clients branding guidelines.

I worked with art directors and project managers to create compelling animations and videos. I handled various elements of the production process all the way from capturing, compositing, editing to animating.

Assisted the creative department with the development of in-house graphical elements focused around rebranding. I helped develop various advertisements, and assisted with preliminary copywriting. I helped developed in-house style guides for use within the creative department, and assisted with the creation of various elements for on-air broadcasts.

I developed 2d and 3D assets for the Intellimedia Group which is funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation. Here I worked in the creative arm to create art that told a compelling story. I was primarily responsible to the Logo Animation and Game cinematics.

Worked with two engineers and and artist to ideate, develop, and pitch an idea to the Walt Disney ImagiNations Competition where we took 2nd place in the country.

I developed various advertising elements as well as custom photoshop art for individual customers. I was responsible for the development and the execution of senior graduation portrait art as well as the development of a background and texture library for future uses.

I worked with clients to develop logos, book designs, and other various print elements.
