I have been an active duty Army Service Member since October 2016. I am a healthcare specialist, also known as a medic. With that title, I am a National Registered Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT). I have been a part of the medical world for my entire life, with my mother being a Register Nurse and my father being an EMT with the Fire Department of New York (FDNY), so it only makes sense that I joined the medical world as well. Growing up in this world, I have taught Basic Life Saving (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) with the American Heart Association. I still teach today, not with the AHA, but to military members. While being a medic in the military I have been able to problem solve, investigate and research, report my medical findings or questions to the physician in an accurate and articulate manner. I have been in charge of controlling, supplying and restocking medications for an entire brigade (department) while stationed in Germany. Before joining the military I used to work in customer service for 10+ years. In those years, I have perfected being personable (which is also helpful in the medical world) and gained insightful communication skills. While I have grown up in the medical world, I never thought I would be this deep in it. I always thought I would be investigating and profiling crimes. Maybe someday, I'll change over from investigating medical to investigating crimes.
