Matthew Eames is an MBA qualified sport and leisure consultant with over 20 years of industry experience across both the public and private sector from community to elite level sport. He is the Managing Director of the Strategic Sport Consultancy Ltd (SSC), a former Capture Lead at Serco Leisure, Director of consultancy at 4global Consulting, and a former Director of the London Sport Active Partnership.Matt has a track record of successfully leading sport and leisure consultancy projects. He has directed and managed 100’s of strategies, needs assessments, options appraisals and feasibility studies that have leveraged and prioritised millions of pounds of new investment to enhanced the active environment and deliver sport, physical activity and health & wellbeing outcomes on behalf of local authorities, leisure operators/trusts, National Governing Bodies of sport (NGBs), international and Olympic facilities, developers, architects, and planners in line with the latest national policy, best practice and Sport England strategic guidance.He has also led the development of a wide range of high profile national facility strategies and projects for a client portfolio that includes British Cycling, The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), The Rugby Football League (RFL), The Rugby Football Union (RFU), Basketball England, England Netball, Snowsport Scotland, Parkour UK and The Bowls Development Alliance.Matts qualifications include an MBA with distinction and 1st class honours, a degree in Sport Science and Leisure Management. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI) and Institute of Consulting (FIC).
