As a Star Signs ADA Designer, I am responsible for collaborating with architects, interior designers, and graphic designers to design and deliver complex signage and wayfinding projects that comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). I oversee the entire project cycle, from conception to completion, ensuring successful project outcomes by collaborating with clients, their design teams, and fabrication partners across various industries. My responsibilities include integrating color and typography into the built environment in two- and three-dimensional formats, specifying materials, finishes, and graphic standards for signage, and preparing final documentation such as message schedules, sign location plans, and sign-type drawings. Together with the design manager, I oversee all project phases, including design, design intent, documentation, project samples, mock-ups, and fabrication/vendor coordination. I possess comprehensive knowledge of all signage codes, including ADA and fire/life safety codes. After receiving approval for the designs, I set up each sign type to be made in production.
