I am a professional communications major in MacEwan University's Bachelor of Communications program. I am passionate about conservation, climate action, and sustainable resource use. As such, my goal is to work as an Environmental Communications Officer, advocating for natural spaces and eco-friendly practices in all sectors.I enjoy exploring wild and natural spaces, so I believe it's our duty to take care of these places and give back to the land. In order to do my part, I spend time volunteering with the Edmonton and Area Land Trust. I have been a Land Steward for Glory Hills (Maskihkîy Meskanaw) and currently I write social media content, and help with public outreach to share knowledge about Alberta's flora and fauna.I also believe fostering a connection with the land is an important step towards increasing knowledge of land use and conservation practices. I enjoy volunteering as a hiking leader for several local hiking clubs and enjoy curating different outings to suit a wide variety of interests—fitness, interpretive walks, and an artist's series.
