If you're familiar with the field of education, I'm sure you've heard the phrase "teacher actions lead to student actions".Whether it be teaching kids in a classroom or coaching adults, I love seeing the delight in someone when they learn something new, apply it, and solve a problem.I moved to St. Louis 10 days after graduating from college to join Teacher For America as a Corps Member. I was placed at KIPP Wisdom Academy in 2015, which also happened to be their founding year. That year I helped open the doors of KIPP Wisdom Academy with 18 other staff members for 240 bright eyed kindergartens and 1st Grade scholars. I continued teaching and growing our school to capacity at 540 scholars K-4. In my career in education I have had opportunities to develop curriculum in all content areas, lead teams of teachers, recruit students and fellow collegues, lead data meetings, run professional development sessions for teachers, and coach and mentor new teachers getting into the field.Now, I am looking for opportunities to take my passion for data-driven results while developing and fostering strong relationships to a new field.Let's connect!
