Providing technical support in geotechnical and mine waste management projects including field investigations, laboratory testing and interpretation, design and construction, geotechnical analysis and dam safety inspections. Completing geotechnical analyses, with a focus on soil mechanics, including stability, seepage, thermal modelling, deposition modelling, and run out analyses for mine waste, water embankment dams and waste rock spoils under the direction and supervision of intermediate and senior engineers.

- Based in Sparwood, BC managing and studying the fine slurry and coarse coal refuse tailings and water dams facilities. This includes meeting internal standards for facility management, meeting with regulatory agencies for inspections and audits, and ensuring facility exploration, design, and construction proceeded per scope with consulting groups.- Extensive experience in team and project management, building fantastic working relationships with site employees and consultants. Project management skills saved the corporation money and time on drilling projects, while still satisfying the scopes set by the Engineer or Records.- Presenting facility and construction updates to senior management, government organizations and senior reviewers per Canadian Dam Association Guidelines. By being able to establish efficient communication and confidence about the facilities amongst senior management, it allowed for the expedition of crucial projects with the support of Operations.- Acted as Primary Contact on Tailings and Water Dams Facilities providing guidance to Operations regarding day to day management and optimization, as well and creating training modules and courses for both corporate and operational personnel for onboarding and annual training requirements. - Collaborated with Environmental, Short Range and Long Range Mining to understand their roles and how to work with them to achieve the goals and standards set within their teams.- Improved accessibility of historic site data by creating ArcGIS maps and Power Bi Databases.

This was a field based role for the duration of a 2‐month project to complete a produced water reservoir in the Grande Prairie area. I acted as Site Engineer responsible for Quality Assessment and Quality Control testing and approval of the reservoir’s compaction and dimension, as well as monitoring and documenting site activities and cost management for the office. When in the office I worked as a representative for the project and worked on the completions report, photo log, invoice tracking and assisting the Project Manager and Project Engineer. I also created estimates for project proposals, built spreadsheets for cost tracking of previous bids to use in a referral data base for future estimates and completed research tasks to update the in‐house library.

Contract position tasked with evaluating the geologic potential of different formations within active Encana operating areas and provide a recommendation to VP Exploration / Chief Geologist & Geophysicist. Gained experience in Excel, GeoScout, Petra and Mosaic.

Summer student engaged in oil & gas reserves evaluations focused on learning / using the different programs and procedures employed. Experience gained with ValNav, GeoScout and Mosaic.

Summer student employed at the Tide Lake field location in Southeastern Alberta. Focused on relief operator duties in a multi-well oil & gas field operation. Experienced gained in well operations, production monitoring and testing, fluid sampling, machine maintenance, communication and data taking/ analysis.

Summer student employed at the Calgary office in the data processing department. Worked with and learned new skills on Excel, also read through and reviewed reports. Assisted with the implementation of a new data organization system.
