I've always been someone that is motivated by the effect my work has on others. I strive to work in places that align with my personal values, because that is when I do my best work. As a Software Developer, I'm eager to write clean, empathetic, and defensive code. I value environments that encourage collaboration and frequently hold space for giving and receiving feedback. I'm a task mover, motivated by progress. I take ownership of what I'm working on, and I see it all the way through. At my core, I'm an educator. I've found teaching to be an incredible way to learn something at a greater depth than I ever could have by just implementing it on my own. I welcome opportunities for teaching, mentorship, or pairing whenever I get the chance. In my most recent role as a Software Engineering Instructor, I feel incredibly thankful to have been able to combine my passions for Education and Engineering. I am now seeking an opportunity to get back into full-time developer work, hoping to leverage my skills in Rails.
