Design Lab is a student-run organization at Longwood University. As senior art director I managedand collaborated with a team of designers. Other responsibilities include balancing multiplejobs at a time, assigning jobs to other teammates, making sure the work is evenly spread out,conceptualizing and refining designs in Adobe CC, and giving and receiving critiques. Senior artdirectors are the point of contact between clients and the rest of the designers on a regular basis,from scheduling new meetings to managing client meetings.

Manage the layout for Longwood’s student run magazine “The Rotunda”. As layout editor I was incharge of designing the layout of the magazine and assigning spreads to staff. Streamlining thecontent that would be provided for a print edition by setting deadlines for writers before Sundaymeetings. Prolonged the work week, making sure layout staff worked on the edition well beforeSunday to meet deadlines. Worked on a short time frame to complete weekly editions.

EAB reached out for a project to make promotional college materials. Met remotely with ChrisParks of EAB on a weekly basis to go over research, concepts, and development of the project.During these meetings, Chris and I would go in-depth about design techniques where I discussedwhat I learned throughout my time at Longwood, and what he learned in the industry. The finalproduct was provided to Chris Parks in a timely manner.
