I am charged with building several new revenue streams for the organization to increase wildfire resiliency for communities across the state.

Since starting at John Muir Land Trust I have successfully increased contributed revenue generation five-fold ($1M to $5M), built an effective fundraising team to support scaling the organization, and personally cultivated, solicited, and stewarded new five- and six-figure major gifts.

I was responsible for managing a portfolio of major donors and prospects through a series of cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts. This includes the creation, implementation, and ongoing management of John Muir Land Trust's Leadership Circle launched in 2019. In my role, I additionally provided support for other development functions including crafting our annual development plan, budgeting, cash flow management, staffing the board of directors' development committee, and direct mail campaigns. In all, my team is responsible for raising $7M a year including funds raised for special campaigns.

I led the organization's fundraising activities including developing and implementing three new membership categories to help build the organization's capacity. I also increased revenue from corporate sponsors for the annual Open Space Conference that convenes over 75 membership organizations working towards conservation efforts in the Bay Area. I strengthened relationships with foundation partners and brought in new foundation funders to increase institutional giving.

I managed a portfolio of over 50 foundations, raising $1.4 million a year. I produced As You Sow's 20th Anniversary event, the organization's first fundraiser, and strengthened communications to donors via on-line and print materials. I additionally oversaw the development of the organization's donor database (Salseforce.com) for better contact management and overall fundraising efforts through the management of the donor database associate.

Clients included C.E.O. Women, Youth Yoga Dharma, Center of Movement, and Out of Site Youth Center. I provided institutional funder research, grant proposal writing, and grants calendar development and management. In addition, I provided annual fund planning and production of appeals and on-line fundraising efforts.
