Melissa Stevens is a teacher, wife, mother, and author of “Unlovable: Overcoming Abuse, Betrayal and the Lies of the Enemy.” Raised in a Christian home, Melissa heard about God’s love her entire life and, from a young age, wanted to serve Him as a missionary. After high school, she went on to study at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and graduated with a BA in International Ministries. During that time, she was married, and her life took an unexpected turn. After sixteen years in an abusive and unhealthy marriage, she faced the unimaginable. Her journey of healing that ensued redefined her view of love and faith. Since that time, she has been passionate about sharing her story and helping others find God’s endless love and pursuit of their hearts.Melissa is now remarried and living in Southeast Iowa with her four children and new husband, Calvin. She works as an Education Specialist for iJag in the local high school and volunteers alongside her husband, who serves as a Family Ministry Pastor. Together, they seek to impact their local community for Christ, seeing lives transformed for His Kingdom.Melissa’s writing is marked by genuineness and vulnerability, as she encourages others to passionately pursue their faith and trust in the Lord in all circumstances. “I want to share my journey with you because I believe that’s what He has called me to.
