- Provide all mandated child development, family, health, nutrition, and mental health services to children and pregnant women. - Coordinate and conduct at least 20 parent-child and peer playgroups per program year, in which parents are active participants reinforcing parent’s roles as primary teachers for their children. -Ensure that all home-based and playgroup activity planning and implementation is guided by an approved curriculum that offers a variety of stimulating, creative and engaging learning experiences for parents and children- Provide service coordination/case management, referral and follow-up services to address child and family needs- Conduct screening and ongoing assessment of young children’s development, health, nutrition, and mental health.- Encourage active parental involvement in home visits, playgroups and the OCHS/EHS program.- Monitor children’s health status, including medical follow-up, physical health, dental health and nutrition and educate parents about importance of regular medical and dental care, dental hygiene and good nutrition- Provide parent education on various topics routinely through home visits and playgroups- Promote the involvement of fathers in all aspects of children’s education and program services- Serve as program interpreter for families from Burma for outreach efforts, communication with waitlist families and contact with families during eligibility and selection process

-Teach Vocational English as a Second Language classes twice a week to approx 20 refugee clients from 10 different languages-Enroll clients into higher education programs-Network with educational entities-recruit, train, and manage volunteers and interns in the ESL department-Enroll clients in social services such as SNAP, Social Security, and RCA/TANF-Coordinate clients resettlement and placement (R&P) process-Monitor clients levels of acculturation and self sufficiency-Conduct orientations for newly arrived clients-Provide Karen interpretation on a daily basis
