Perform data entry through the GoodCity app to keep track of the items distributed during these events and ensure there is remaining stock for future distribution.5. Worked as part of the development and troubleshooting team who built and maintained an IFRS17 solution for a major multinational insurer, using softwares such as Data Conversion System (DCS) and Prophet. 2. Facilitated regular discussions with our accounting counterparts to ensure the aforementioned IFRS17 solution was holistic enough to fulfil the client’s financial disclosure requirements. 3. Led a team in the client’s IFRS17 production cycle which involved managing timelines of various stakeholders, communicating data issues to cross-department heads, searching for suitable resolutions, as well as peer-reviewing and delivering the results to the client. 4. Appointed as the Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong firm representative in the Asia Pacific Actuarial Working Group, and assisted in several initiatives to encourage collaboration amongst actuarial teams across the region.

Incorporated the new HKRBC (Hong Kong Risk Based Capital) framework into the client’s Embedded Value model and performed an impact assessment on the value of the company and its key business lines. 2. Developed key IFRS17 functionalities into the client’s Prophet model as part of their centralised model project, which consolidates actuarial models across four major business units with the aim of increasing modelling efficiency as well as user friendliness. 3. Carried out a health check on the client’s key products under HKRBC and provided recommendations to improve profit margins.

1. Prepared an assessment report on the lack of insurance penetration in an emerging market, as part of a World Bank project. 2. Provided actuarial training and ongoing knowledge transfer to clients to build up technical expertise within in-house actuarial departments. Eventually, this was formally implemented into the firm’s e-learning programme, Core Life Actuarial Programme. 3. Managed and supported two analysts through various traditional work and ad-hoc projects. This was a collaborative process of setting an action plan at the commencement of work, facilitating regular checkpoint discussions, as well as peer-reviewing their work to ensure deliverables of high quality were provided to clients in a timely manner.4. Put together proposals and scope of works for potential projects, resulting in the acquisition of new business for the firm.5. Worked as part of a team to perform an IFRS17 financial impact assessment, which included preparing product classifications under the new reporting standard, performing an impact analysis and estimating the Contractual Service Margin (CSM) for the client’s major products.
