· Hire, terminate, and train staff in a medical office.· Supervise, receptionists, and medical assistants.· Delegate responsibilities.· Monthly receptionist and medical assistant scheduling.· Assess employee performance.· Oversee copay’s collected.· Make deposits.· Reconcile account information.· Order medical and office supplies.· Maintain medical records.· Develop and implement office policies and procedures.· Formulate objectives and processes.· Generate inventory records.· Provide educational material for staff.· Closes batches daily. Professionally answers telephone calls within established guidelines; takes messages and/or refers callers to appropriate individuals. · Appropriately screens telephone calls for scheduling of emergency/walk-in patients, utilizing medical assistants and/or registered nurses as necessary.· Schedules appointments for patients within established clinic guidelines. · Makes photocopies of schedules, correspondence, or other materials as directed. · Treats patients with highest respect in all functions of job and maintains patient confidentiality. · Monitor patient waiting rooms for cleanliness and security. Performs other duties as assigned or as needed.
