Performs initial and periodic information privacy risk assessments and conducts related ongoing compliance monitoring activities. Oversees, directs, delivers, or ensures delivery of initial and annual privacy training and orientation to all employees, volunteers, medical and professional staff, contractors, alliances, business associates, and other appropriate third parties. Establishes and administers a process for receiving, documenting, tracking, investigating, and taking action on all complaints concerning the organization’s privacy policies and procedures in coordination and collaboration with other similar functions and, when necessary, legal counsel. Ensures compliance with privacy practices and consistent application of sanctions for failure to comply with privacy policies for all individuals in the organization’s workforce, extended workforce, and for all business associates, in cooperation with Human Resources, the information security officer, and legal counsel as applicable. Initiates, facilitates and promotes activities to foster information privacy and compliance awareness within the organization and related entities. Cooperates with the Office of Civil Rights, Office of Inspector General, Assistant United States Attorney General and organization officers in any compliance reviews or investigations. Oversee internal compliance investigations and audits throughout the enterprise, including compiling detailed reports with recommendations to the Compliance Officer and senior leadership team. Assist the Chief Compliance Officer with the development and implementation of the annual Compliance work plans. Ensures that applicable legislation is being complied with by staff across the enterprise by regularly reviewing & monitoring compliance processes as well as day-to-day compliance to legislation & regulations. Maintain relationships with regulatory agencies.

Director of Revenue Cycle Management- Responsible for the Government payor revenue cycle management for twenty-six (26) states. Accounts Receivable follow-up activity for 896,000 annual transports and processing over $893MM in annual gross revenue. Provide direction and oversight to the management team. Adheres to budget and enforces established polices and procedures. Ensures the timely and accurate billing of ambulance transports; analyzes trends to improve operational effectiveness and reduce accounts receivable.

Coding & Billing Manager – Responsible for managing coding and A/R follow-up department that consists of over 258,000 annual transports and $265MM in annual gross revenue. Primary responsibilities include ensuring all local, State and Federal regulations are properly interpreted and enforced within the billing department. Responsible for developing efficient workflow models, increasing staff productivity and revenue cycle management. Provide guidance and support to operations on all relevant revenue cycle related issues impacting business unit performance. Participate on multiple national committees designed to improve overall company performance.

Facilitated unit meeting, monitored and maintained quality improvement on employee’s bi-weekly. Monitor, manage and respond to the executive management team on high dollar accounts. Negotiate non-contracted claims with various payers for prompt payment on high dollar accounts. Maintain and monitor the commercial accounts receivable and client billing. Work with patients via phone or in person on their hospital accounts.
